Schedule - Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm (in office in Tacoma, Washington)
Full Time - starting pay range $30-$35 per hour based on experience

Duties & Responsibilities

Responsible for assisting with Gensco’s and our sister company, Slakey’s, e-commerce websites and apps and the digital marketing and sales strategy that goes along with the websites and apps.
Responsible for identifying and contributing to website enhancements to ensure superior Customer experience in areas such as timely and accurate content, user-friendly design, and availability of functional tools, as well as, keeping abreast of best practices and industry trends.
Collaborate closely with designers, developers, and marketers to create visually appealing, intuitive, and high-performance digital interfaces for Customers.
Assist with the enhancement and maintenance of public-facing websites, Gensco.com, Slakey.com and Columbia-Manufacturing.com.
Assist with the maintenance, content management and promotions of the Gensco and Slakey Team intranet websites, to better facilitate corporate communication and user engagement.
Assist with event website and app design and development.
Assist with new digital and technology solutions in line with company initiatives to keep up with current and evolving technology solutions.
Assist in providing both internal and external Customer training and support for Gensco’s and Slakey’s online platforms.

Skills & Qualifications

Completion of college program in web design, user experience design or related studies.
Demonstrated ability to manage time & details and meet deadlines with 100% accuracy in a multi-task environment.
Superior Customer service-oriented approach responds to requests with a sense of urgency.
Proactive, self-motivated, able to recognize issues and resolve or escalate appropriately.
Demonstrated success in working independently and in a team setting.
Detail-oriented with a strong sense of visual design.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Excellent communication, presentation skills and ability to work with staff with varying levels of technical expertise.
Experience working in a collaborative multi-disciplinary team and working directly with developers for implementation of designs
Experience in HTML, CSS, and User Interface (UI) design.
Experience with a variety of design and prototyping tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, inDesign, Adobe XD, Figma or similar.
Understanding of security principles and how they apply to e-commerce solutions.
Working knowledge of Microsoft operating systems for desktop.
Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.
High degree of honesty, ethics and integrity with prior work experience handling confidential information.
Able to work sitting or standing and to move freely throughout the facility.
Able to lift and carry equipment and supplies.
Able to work beyond normal business hours if necessary.
