What You Can Offer Gensco as a Database Developer:

Ability to understand front-end user's requirements and a customer service focused attitude is a must
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field preferred
In-depth understanding of data management (security, performance, etc.)
Understand and use normalization methods and design methodologies
Experience designing stable, reliable, and scalable new SQL Server OLTP and OLAP databases as well as modifying existing databases
SQL Server Management Studio experience
Moderately complex SQL required
Demonstrated success in working independently and in team collaboration
Proactive, self-motivated, able to recognize issues and resolve or escalate appropriately
Experience designing, building, and maintaining metadata models and complex ETL packages is desired
Demonstrated ability to create technical documentation
Direct experience in SSRS and either Tableau or PowerBI preferred
Experience using Azure DevOps or other version control system (Atlassian Bitbucket, AWS CodeCommit, etc.) desired
Experiencing working in a SCRUM or Agile environment also a plus
Excellent analytical, documentation, organization, and communication skills
Familiarity with any of the following: Python, R, C#, PowerShell
Experience with Epicor Prophet 21 ERP software system preferred

What You’d Be Doing:

Ensure all custom databases meet company security and performance requirements
Liaise with all developers to improve applications and establish best practices
Work through early stages of the software lifecycle to profile data and to create conceptual, logical & physical data model designs with appropriate structure and relationships for optimal performance
Mentor junior team members
Develop complex database structures and features according to organizational needs
Develop custom reporting and procedures as required

This position is FULLY REMOTE in any state that we currently operate in: WA, OR, MT, CA, AK, ID, NV.

Education/Experience/Skills
