Gensco’s Internship Program provides an amazing, hands-on opportunity to become familiar with our business and industry from the ground up by learning Gensco’s customer service philosophy, operating processes and procedures.

Gensco’s Corporate Recruiting Internship offers:
- Schedule - Monday-Friday day shift schedule, weekends off
- Flexible Start & End Date - we work with your school schedule, start dates as early as May 1st and completion date as late as September 30th with a minimum of 12 weeks participation
- Paid Internship - full-time, pay range $20-$25 per hour based on experience
- Training - primarily collaborate with and support the Recruiting Team, with opportunities to shadow all members of the HR Team to gain exposure to a variety of HR roles and responsibilities.
- Job Duties – participate in the full recruiting lifecycle, from job requisition through hire. Utilize the applicant tracking system, intranet site, and other platforms to support recruiting efforts. Assist with candidate evaluations, phone screenings, and interviews. Create and post content for the Internship Program’s social media channels. Attend Recruiting and HR Team meetings. Support the planning and execution of the Gensco Intern Huddle Up event. Learn how the Recruiting and HR Team partners with other departments across the organization. Assist with employee retention initiatives, including team-building events, service awards, baby gifts, and other engagement activities. Provide additional support to the team as needed with projects or overflow tasks.
- Mentorship - engage in regular meetings and ongoing interaction with the Recruiting and HR Team to learn more about Gensco’s business, as well as career growth and professional development opportunities
- Project - work on a project where you have the opportunity to showcase your skills and talents
- Engagement - with Interns at other locations through planned events and scheduled Zoom calls
- Intern Huddle Up in July - Interns from all locations spend 2 days at our Tacoma Corporate Office for Intern events, presentations by all business units, tour our Corporate Office and Tacoma Distribution Center
- Job Shadow - day 2 of Huddle Up opportunity to shadow a Corporate Department of interest
- Requirements - must be proficient in Microsoft Office specifically in Outlook, Word, and Excel. Excellent written and verbal communication with excellent customer service.
- Qualifications - Internship is open to students and graduates up to 1 year past graduation. Housing and any relocation expenses are Intern's responsibility
- Future Career Opportunity - Interns who successfully complete the Internship Program may be considered for full-time employment following graduation
